A Harmony of Wreaths

I love the combination of orange and red, which is why I lean towards an analogous color scheme when it comes to decorating and designing. Factoid: Analogous color schemes are often found in nature, and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye. That explains a lot!

After spotting these gorgeous wreath designs by Emily Thompson in an issue of Living Magazine last Winter, I was TOTALLY inspired by the beauty of their simplicity.

Tropical cercropia leaves make this color theme so unusual, yet so perfect.

Because these wreaths are not meant to last a lifetime, they won't be dust collectors, and they can be easily changed out with the seasons. Locating natural materials can be easy if you broaden the scope of your search. You never know what you might find--some bittersweet on a city fence, or a fallen birch limb at the Dunkin Donuts drive-thru!
